Brighter Teeth
Our professional whitening gel safely lifts seven to eight shades or more, well beyond what commercial kits can achieve in a single office visit.
Dreaming of a brighter smile? Our professional In-office teeth whitening in West Hollywood can give you immediate results that last up to three years, but is it worth it compared to over-the-counter products? Absolutely. When you whiten your teeth at West Hollywood Dental Studio, you receive professional-strength treatments for faster, brighter results that are easy to maintain.

Teeth whitening is a process completed in our office or with a custom take-home kit provided by our dentist. The gel lifts stain particles from the porous surfaces inside your enamel, so your smile looks brighter and more natural. The process also addresses natural discoloration that has developed over the years.
Our professional whitening gel safely lifts seven to eight shades or more, well beyond what commercial kits can achieve in a single office visit.
Working with our dentist helps prevent the gum irritation and patchy, uneven results that at-home products often cause without supervision.
Professional-strength products work more quickly and remove considerably more staining than anything sold over the counter at your local drugstore.
Our dentist helps you identify the products and ingredients that prevent and manage sensitivity caused by whitening before your treatment begins.
Every whitening journey begins with a personalized consultation, and the treatment itself takes roughly an hour to an hour and a half.
Request an AppointmentOur dentist evaluates your oral health, discusses your smile goals, and confirms that whitening is a genuinely good fit for you before we schedule treatment.
We recommend having your dental cleaning just before whitening, so the gel targets deep stains rather than surface buildup from your tooth surfaces.
We polish your teeth and gently retract your lips and cheeks in order to protect the soft tissue throughout the treatment from the whitening gel.
A concentrated bleaching gel is applied, safely lifting stain particles from inside the porous surfaces of your tooth enamel over the course of the visit.
We compare your results against the starting shade, so you can see exactly how much brightness the treatment gained you from your first appointment.
A good candidate wants a brighter smile and has healthy teeth and gums, with no active cavities or gum infection present.
Surface Staining — Coffee, tea, red wine, tomato sauce, or tobacco use have gradually dimmed the natural brightness of your tooth enamel over many years of daily use.
Age Darkening — Teeth absorb stain over decades, so your smile simply looks darker now than it did ten or twenty years ago when you were much younger.
Cosmetic Planning — You intend to have veneers or crowns placed and want to establish your target shade well before those are fabricated at our partner laboratory.
Upcoming Occasion — A wedding, reunion, or photo session is coming up, and you want a noticeable result from just a single office visit with no lengthy commitment.
Our concentrated gels are only available through a dental professional, which is precisely why the results outperform anything sold at the drugstore or ordered online in a kit.
Same-day in-office whitening and custom take-home trays are both offered, so the approach fits your schedule, your budget, and your goals as well as your daily routine.
We whiten before placing veneers, crowns, or fillings, so that your new restorations are matched to a brighter baseline shade from the start rather than a darker older one.
We evaluate your candidacy at no cost, so you know what kind of result to expect before you commit any time or money to treatment or a whitening plan.
Real Patients, Real Stories
I reached out to Dr. Rivas regarding the extraction of my number 16 wisdom tooth. My previous dentist referred me to an oral surgeon who wanted to extract the other three wisdom teeth even though I am not experiencing any issues and during that time I never had any consultative discussions with the surgeon. I connected with Dr. Rivas and she was thorough and transparent when speaking over the phone and she shared that she would be able to extract my tooth. During the procedure, she was extremely caring, asked if I was numbed properly, and checked in with me frequently during the procedure. I did not feel a thing and I was shocked on how fast she was able to successfully extract my tooth. I highly recommend Dr. Rivas and her staff and I commend them for their professionalism and caring nature. I live in the Inland Empire and will be driving to West Hollywood since Dr. Rivas will be my dentist moving forward.
I’m enormously happy with Dr. Rivas! My parents, my kids, my wife — all of us know we can rely on Dr. Rivas to do a great job in addressing our dental needs. Dr. Rivas used Invisalign to make my teenage daughter’s teeth look beautiful, whereas many other dentists would have referred us to an expensive outside orthodontist. One of my family members has a rather serious dentistry anxiety disorder, and Dr. Rivas is invariably kind and patient with him, always using every tool at her disposal to make sure he’s fully comfortable before she gets down to business with all her drills and scalpels and other instruments and hardware. Recently, on a Saturday, I suspected I had a dental emergency, and even though Dr. Rivas was practically certain there was no problem based on the photo I texted to her, she nevertheless trudged to her office just to meet me in person to reassure me that everything is ok. Most dentists wouldn’t have accommodated me that way. In this town, most dentists seem to be off somewhere playing golf on the weekends out of town. It’s often challenging to find a good dentist, someone whom you can trust to be gentle and patient and good natured and fully competent. But you’re in luck; you need look no further. Please believe me when I say Dr. Rivas and her team will take excellent care of you!
Dr. Rivas is an amazing, kind, and patient dentist. I let my teeth slide into chaos, and Dr Rivas helped me get my mouth back in working order. Also I’m a huge baby that constantly complains about pain and squeals just from looking at a drill. She made me feel comfort like I thought I could never feel at the dentist. Please go see her for your own teeth health and mental stability!
Thank you to Weho Dental studio and Dr Rivas for helping me get over my fear of going to the dentist. Felt immediately at home with her and her lovely staff. From the front desk to the hygienist, I really felt like they genuinely cared about my dental health, rather than some of the other offices I’ve been to that immediately tried to push tons of treatments. Dr Rivas and her staff took care of me, happy to call this my dental home. Thank you for making fillings and a crown a pleasant experience!

Yes. Scheduling your cleaning just before whitening ensures the gel reaches deep stains rather than working on surface plaque and tartar.
When used as directed, teeth whitening products are extremely safe and gentle. Our dentist will provide you with information on how to combat possible tooth sensitivity caused by whitening. Using a sensitivity toothpaste and/or fluoride rinse can be extremely helpful. If you have a take-home kit, consider whitening every other day instead of daily.
No, though whitening should not be used on teeth with active cavities or disease, since the ingredients could cause pain or irritation.
In-office results can last up to three years with good home care. Touch up after each six-month cleaning, or every three to four months if you drink coffee daily.
Professional teeth whitening provides better results than over-the-counter products because the ingredients are highly concentrated. While over-the-counter kits will work, they are not as effective as an in-office whitening treatment. Same-day teeth whitening is a one-time process, or you can get custom trays to fit your teeth where you apply the professionally administered whitening gel. You can't buy these products over the counter as they are only available from a dental professional. West Hollywood Dental Studio offers convenient and affordable professional teeth whitening services to help you achieve a whiter smile in West Hollywood.
Many people believe that teeth become stained or discolored due to things like coffee, tea, red wine, or cigarettes. However, our teeth also absorb stains as the years and decades go by, causing our smiles to look darker than before. Even certain types of medications can cause enamel staining.
The most common types of teeth whitening treatments we offer are in-office (same-day) whitening and take-home custom trays. Both work extremely well. Depending on your smile goals and the timeframe you're working with, one may work better for you than the other. The team at West Hollywood Dental Studio will discuss the pros and cons of each one as it fits your situation so that you can feel confident about your aesthetic enhancement.
Daily Habits: To keep your teeth white after a bleaching treatment, brush twice a day and floss daily to prevent plaque and tartar buildup. Also, rinse your mouth out with water any time you drink a dark liquid or eat something that might stain a white shirt (such as tomato sauce or curry.) Schedule a dental cleaning at West Hollywood Dental Studio twice a year to have your teeth professionally cleaned; we'll also polish away any surface stains to help your smile stay white. Touch-Ups: If you have a take-home whitening kit, we recommend touching up a few times after every six-month dental cleaning. If you drink a lot of coffee or tea, you may want to touch up as frequently as every 3-4 months. Professional teeth whitening offers a safe, affordable, and fast solution for achieving beautiful results.
