Whole-Body Wellness
Reducing oral inflammation supports immune function and lowers the overall bacterial burden your body has to manage every day of your life.
Looking for a more natural approach to dental care? Our team understands that your oral health is deeply connected to your overall well-being. Holistic dentistry in West Hollywood, CA, considers your entire body when we plan and provide treatment, not just your teeth and gums.

Holistic dentistry, also known as biological dentistry, views your oral health as an integral part of your overall wellness. This approach recognizes the connection between your dental health and your general health, and addresses both at once by minimizing toxins, using biocompatible materials, and focusing on prevention.
Reducing oral inflammation supports immune function and lowers the overall bacterial burden your body has to manage every day of your life.
Metal-free restorations are selected to work in harmony with your body rather than introducing compounds you would rather avoid for your own reasons.
Minimal-intervention techniques preserve as much of your natural tooth structure as the clinical situation will reasonably allow given your situation.
Addressing small concerns early keeps you out of the cycle of repeated repairs and increasingly invasive restorative procedures down the road.
Your care follows a clear path from evaluation through ongoing support, with your health goals guiding each decision along the way.

Patients come to our practice for a biological approach for a number of reasons, and these are among the most common.
Material Sensitivities — You react to certain metals, or you have concerns about the compounds used in the older restorations already placed in your mouth for many years now.
Systemic Conditions — You are managing an inflammatory or autoimmune condition and want your dental care coordinated with the rest of your health care team as a whole.
Metal-Free Preference — You would rather have tooth-colored, metal-free restorations than traditional silver fillings or crowns built on a metal substructure underneath the porcelain.
Whole-Person Approach — You are looking for a practice that weighs nutrition, environment, and the mind-body connection alongside the condition of your teeth as a whole person.
We choose restorative materials and clinical protocols specifically for their compatibility with your body, your sensitivities, your health history, and your stated preferences.
We emphasize addressing potential issues before they become serious problems, which keeps treatment conservative and leaves tooth structure intact for the long term.
We work closely with you to understand your health goals and build a plan that genuinely fits your lifestyle rather than following a standard protocol or a standard sequence.
Three decades of caring, compassionate practice have taught us that the best long-term outcomes come from knowing our patients well over many years of continuous care.
Real Patients, Real Stories
Thank you to Weho Dental studio and Dr Rivas for helping me get over my fear of going to the dentist. Felt immediately at home with her and her lovely staff. From the front desk to the hygienist, I really felt like they genuinely cared about my dental health, rather than some of the other offices I’ve been to that immediately tried to push tons of treatments. Dr Rivas and her staff took care of me, happy to call this my dental home. Thank you for making fillings and a crown a pleasant experience!
Dr. Rivas was awesome! Staff are great and friendly. I was surprised that my filling took less than an hour and I did not feel any inch of pain. The procedure was so smooth and appreciate that Dr. Lisa walked me through to every step. Highly recommended!
really lovely, kind staff— i felt at ease and taken care of! everything was explained to me, and the environment was serene. thank you dr rivas!
I reached out to Dr. Rivas regarding the extraction of my number 16 wisdom tooth. My previous dentist referred me to an oral surgeon who wanted to extract the other three wisdom teeth even though I am not experiencing any issues and during that time I never had any consultative discussions with the surgeon. I connected with Dr. Rivas and she was thorough and transparent when speaking over the phone and she shared that she would be able to extract my tooth. During the procedure, she was extremely caring, asked if I was numbed properly, and checked in with me frequently during the procedure. I did not feel a thing and I was shocked on how fast she was able to successfully extract my tooth. I highly recommend Dr. Rivas and her staff and I commend them for their professionalism and caring nature. I live in the Inland Empire and will be driving to West Hollywood since Dr. Rivas will be my dentist moving forward.
